Marbled clay vase, wheel-thrown by me
I hand-dyed my own colored clay by mixing trimmings, water and Mason stain pigments in orange, pastel blue, blue, chartreuse and a little dark brown. Then I cut slices of the colored clay, layered them between white B-mix, packed it all into a ball and wedged it right on the wheel so the colors swirl through the white. Every line runs through the clay itself instead of sitting on top. I glazed the outside clear, and loaded the rim with a thick black glaze so it drips down like it couldn’t wait to get to the party. Inside, my Cosmic Tea Dust glaze sparkles like a tiny galaxy.
Watertight and food safe, so fresh flowers are welcome. Hand wash only. One of one, with free shipping.

A molten red-orange glaze pours down over a matte black body and stops just short of a full-on volcano. A little pink collar and a cork-set pump finish it off, so your hand soap finally has some drama.

Custom pet portrait mug
Wheel-thrown, then hand-carved and hand-painted with a cartoon of your pet and their whole personality, so they can finally help with breakfast. Dogs, cats, horses, ducks and pretty much any other animal you love: if it’s a pet, I’ll carve it. Just a heads-up: I only draw the animals. Humans are very welcome to buy the mug, but your uncle will not be getting his portrait carved on one.
After you order, I'll email you to request photos of your pet. You can also choose the outside color of the mug to suit the portrait.

Hi, I’m Randee. I started throwing at 12 in a junior high art room and never really stopped, apart from a Peace Corps detour through Panama. Today I teach, fix kilns, and make bright, bold, slightly psychedelic pots. If it swirls, sparkles or has your pet’s face on it, I probably made it.
